I have been working a Freelance Artist Facilitator with Action Space since 2008. I started as a volunteer working on the sensory based project ‘Connecting Through Art’ for people with profound SEND in East London and supported Action Space’s studio project in Croydon in 2009/2010.
From 2011-2016 I was the artist tutor on the Leighton Project, Elfrida Rathbone in Camden for young adults (17-24 years) with SEND. This was a two-year art program for the students which included 2D, 3D and digital art making skills to develop skills and ideas with an annual public summer show.
In 2017 I delivered the project ‘Culture on the Move’ in association with the EFDSS at JFK School in East London and since 2016 I have been working as a lead facilitator with Action Space at JFK School to deliver the Arts Awards for SEND secondary school pupils.
I am also a lead facilitator one of Action Space’s studio projects working with and supporting Adult Artists with SEND.
I am trained in delivering Bronze and Silver Arts Awards and have delivered Arts Awards at the Leighton Project and JFK School with a number of students successfully gaining their Arts Awards through the project.
